The CAD/CAM Ceramic Update in Esthetic Dentistry
Current digital and ceramic technologies offer a whole new range of esthetic, less invasive, and long-lasting treatment options with unprecedented precision. However, there are still many questions: What are the best materials considering the large variety of ceramics available today? What ceramics can be used with chairside CAD/CAM systems? Do different ceramics require specific laboratory and clinical treatment? What cements or bonding protocols should I use for the different ceramics to avoid failures? Is all zirconia the same and can I bond it successfully? How precise are CAD/CAM ceramic restorations? And where is the scientific evidence on all these topics?
This presentation will answer such questions and provide an update on esthetic treatment options with ceramics from conservative partial-coverage laminate veneers to resin bonded bridges and implant-supported restorations.
Learning Objectives
• Differentiate modern ceramic materials and their indications
• Learn about CAD/CAM technology and its diverse applications in esthetic dentistry
• Understand strategies for success with ceramic restorations for teeth and implants based on the current scientific evidence
• Comprehend clinical guidelines for long-lasting esthetic restorations from laminate veneers
resin bonded bridges and implant-supported restorations

Precision with Direct Composite Resins: Conventional and Digital Way
When using direct composite resins to improve the aesthetics and function of our patients, we always look for the most natural results possible.
For this, it is necessary to have means and techniques that allow us to replicate nature with precision.
One of the most common ways is to use layering techniques with different increments and opacities of resins. Another possibility is to use planning and digital technology to help and guide us in this precision, so that the final result of the restorations is as similar as planned.
In this lecture we will share these different possibilities step by step.

How to Improve Your Competence and Efficiency on Metal Free Restorations?
Esthetic restorative procedures have become increasingly popular among today’s patients. As a result, the demand for all-ceramic restorations has risen greatly. By employing innovative components, such as lithium disilicate and zirconia, we can offer new options for creating exceptional true-to-nature restorations even when conditions are not ideal for an excellent outcome. However, the characteristic that make new materials more integratable from an esthetics perspective, the translucency of the substructure, is also the most controversial limit. This feature adds a new evaluation parameter which is essential for all projects that involve the use of metal-free as a prosthetic solution, especially in the anterior sectors. The need for an exchange of information between the clinician and the technician are demonstrated by means of the step by step documentation of several clinical cases involving the anterior area.

Save it or Extarct it?
Introduction of ”Precise Decision-Making“ Model in Dentistry, A Multidisciplinary Approach
The main goal of any dental treatments is to save a natural tooth in high function and satisfactory esthetics.
Assumed the increasing popularity and clinical success of dental implants, there is a tendency in reckless tooth extraction that result in the loss of many savable teeth. However, the heroic conservation of a tooth with pathologic conditions may end up in unfavorable consequences, such as extensive loss of periodontal tissue including alveolar bone or extension of an odontogenic infection to dangerous adjacent anatomic spaces.
To attain an appropriate treatment plan, prior to any decision making, several dental and non-dental factors should be considered and ranked to be able to precisely decide whether to save or extract a compromised tooth. Therefore, a multidisciplinary treatment planning that leads to a precise decision making -as an essential key to a successful dental treatment- is required.
In this presentation -based on the available high level clinical evidence- a list of multidisciplinary dental and non-dental variables including Periodontal, Restorative, Endodontal, Psychological, Economoical and Medical factors that may directly or indirectly affect the outcome will be introduced and categorized. In addition, the level of importance of each factor will be suggested, discussed and ranked to achieve a precise decision making and suggest a proper treatment planning.

Precision in Adhesive Dentistry: Clinical Solutions for Complex Esthetic Rehabilitations
With a conservative approach in mind, clinicians should be able to provide patients with minimally-invasive, functional, highly-esthetic, and long-lasting solutions. These solutions should take into consideration patient needs and desires, functional issues, available materials, and clinical approaches. Novel conservative restorative techniques are able to combine a variety of treatment modalities for a large range of clinical situations including some that until recently were not considered possible. Through ultra-structural microscopically interaction between biomaterials and dental structure, esthetic and long-lasting clinical solutions can be attained while simultaneously preserving the integrity of the enamel and dentin. This presentation provides a systematic and scientific approach for selecting esthetic treatment modalities based on original research data with special emphasis on techniques and new materials design and selection. As predictable and advanced as these solutions are, they are not risk free; thus, failures and complications are still a clinical reality. Key risk factors will be discussed with the understanding that complex clinical rehabilitations have a much higher likelihood of complications and failures that have to be factored in prior to initiation of treatment.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the presentation attendees will be able to:
1) Understand challenges related establishing a stable adhesive interface to ceramic, composite, and dental structures
2) Choose adhesive strategies for different clinical situations
3) Understand the advantages and limitation of adhesive procedures for ceramic vs contemporary resin composite CAD/CAM solutions.

Optimize Esthetic Outcome and Longevity of Your Indirect Restorations. What Clinicians MUST Know!
There are numerous ceramic systems available today, and clinicians must make critical esthetic decisions based on limited knowledge and evidence of success for these ceramic systems. Translucency and the ability to mimic natural tooth structure are driving forces behind the marketing of a new ceramic material. This presentation will explain the translucency of enamel and dentin, as well as the most important factors to consider when choosing a ceramic material based on its inherent translucency. To make ceramics that lack translucency look nice, they are stained and glazed. The main question is how long these stains and glazes last. Furthermore, ideal bonding protocols for achieving maximum longevity will be presented.

13 Golden Methods;
A Simplified Way to Update Clinical Management Procedures for Digital Technologies
Running a dental practice is no easy task. While we excel at providing our patients with superior oral health care, it’s easy to become so caught up in the day-to-day operations that we forget about the other vital element of a successful dental practice: an exceptional patient experience.
As CAD/CAM continues to replace traditional workflows and become the standard of dental care, digital solutions have become a necessary consideration for any dental business, improving efficiency in dental procedures and streamlining workflows. One of the most significant benefits of digital technologies is improved patient experience and comfort. A satisfied patient is more likely to return and recommend a clinic to others, contributing to the long-term success of any dental practice.
Even if the new technologies are brought to clinical practices, it is of great importance that the new procedures are reflected in the whole team in which not only physicians and technicians, but also dental assistants and secretariat are included. When we update the clinical management procedures for the digital revolution, it is possible to create teams with much higher synergy that achieve “the exceptional patient experience”.
